1. Introduction

Photo OCR To Text is a privacy-focused iOS application that converts photos into editable, searchable text using on-device Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This Privacy Policy describes how SolutionsIO ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the App.

Key privacy principles:

• All OCR and text processing occur on your device.
• We do not upload or store your content on our servers.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for marketing or advertising.
• You control storage, export, and deletion of your data.

2. Information We Collect

We intentionally collect minimal information necessary to operate the App. Where possible, the App keeps data local to your device.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Photos, camera input, and images: Images you capture or import are processed on-device and remain in local device storage unless you choose to export them.
• Extracted text, notes, and documents: OCR results, user-created notes, folders, tags, favorites, and version history are stored locally.
• Backups & exports: If you export or back up data (e.g., to iCloud Drive or local files), that data is stored where you choose and is not accessible by us.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Crash logs & diagnostics (optional): We do not collect analytics. Apple may share anonymized crash logs with us only if you enable "Share with App Developers" in iOS settings. These logs do not contain personal identifiers.
• Subscription validation: For Premium subscriptions processed by Apple, we receive non-identifying entitlement data to validate active subscriptions. We do not receive your payment details.
• No tracking technologies: The App does not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics SDKs, or cloud-based OCR services.

3. How We Use Information

We use data strictly to provide and maintain App functionality:

• Perform on-device OCR and handwriting recognition in supported languages.
• Organize notes into folders, tags, smart folders, and favorites.
• Provide search, version history, batch operations, and export features.
• Validate Premium subscription entitlements via Apple.
• Respond to user support requests when you contact us and voluntarily provide information (email, troubleshooting details).

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Local device storage: All primary user data (images, OCR text, notes) is stored on your device and protected by iOS security features such as device encryption, app sandboxing, and Face ID / Touch ID where available.

No server storage: We do not operate servers that store user content; we do not upload OCR results, images, or notes to any third party or to our own infrastructure.

Backups: If you back up your device to iCloud or another backup service, App data may be included in those backups and will be governed by the backup provider's security and privacy practices (for iCloud, see Apple's policies).

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.

We may share information only in limited circumstances:

• Apple platform services: We rely on Apple for in-app purchases, permission handling, and optional crash reporting. These services are subject to Apple's privacy policies.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information to comply with applicable laws or respond to lawful requests by public authorities. Because we do not store user data on our servers, we generally have no personal data to provide in response to such requests.

6. Permissions the App May Request

• Camera access: Required to capture new images for OCR (used only when you choose to use camera features).
• Photo library access: Required to select existing images for OCR processing.
• File access: Required to export, import, backup, or restore files at your direction (e.g., iCloud Drive).

All permission requests are transparent and optional — you can disable them any time in iOS Settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, contact us at support@solutionsio.com so we can delete such information.

8. Data Retention

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you control retention. Deleting the App or removing content from the App will typically remove that data unless you have separately backed it up (for example, to iCloud). We do not retain copies of user content on our servers.

9. International Use

The App is available globally. As we do not transfer user data off your device to our servers or third parties, there are no cross-border data transfers performed by us.

10. Third-Party Links

The App may include links for support (email), App Store subscription pages, or documentation. External sites and services are governed by their own privacy policies; we encourage you to review them before providing personal information to third parties.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
