2.3 QR code data & scans

Scanned QR code contents and any saved scan entries (including optional user-added labels or notes) are stored locally on your device by default and are not transmitted to our servers.

2.4 Camera & Photos

• Camera access: The App requires camera permission to scan QR codes. This permission is used exclusively for scanning QR codes within the App. We do not capture or store camera streams beyond the scanning process, and we do not transmit camera data to any external servers.

3. How We Use Information

• To perform the core functionality of the App (scan, parse, display, and save QR code contents locally).
• To respond to user support requests when you contact us.
• To comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and protect the rights and safety of our users and the App.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or lease personal information to third parties. We do not share user data with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law or to respond to legal process; for example, to comply with a court order or law enforcement request.

5. Third-Party Services & Links

The App may include links to third-party websites (for example, when opening a scanned URL). Those third-party sites have their own privacy policies and practices; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Because scanned QR codes and saved scans are stored locally on your device, you control retention. You can:

• Delete individual scans from within the App at any time.
• Clear all saved data in the App via the App settings (if available).
• Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect data stored within the App on your device. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You should use device-level protections (screen lock, biometric, encrypted backups) to protect your data.

8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

The App is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. International Users

If you are located outside the United States, please note that the App’s data practices are governed by this Policy. Because the App stores data primarily on device, cross-border transfers are limited. If any data is transmitted to our servers (for example, if you opt into an online backup or support upload), it may be stored on servers located in the developer’s chosen country.

• Camera & Photo permissions: You can grant or revoke camera and photo library access in your device’s Settings.
• Data export & deletion: Use the App’s in-app controls to delete saved scans. If you need us to delete any contact/support data you submitted, email us (see Contact below).
• Do Not Track: The App does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals because the App does not use web-based tracking by default.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will display a prominent notice in the App or update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
